How to Guide Yourself on your own Grounding Journey

The power is at your feet…

“Flying Starts from the Ground. The more grounded you are, the higher you fly” ~ J.R RIM

We underestimate the power of feet to sand; feet to dirt; feet to grass; and even feet in the ocean.

The vast majority of people truly have very little idea about what actually we receive when our shoes are removed, and our bare feet are put on Mother Earth.

Being grounded feels something like:

1. Being present and in that moment
2. Feeling connected to the earth
3. Composed and mentally clear
4. Calm and in control

We’ve all experienced being grounded but unfortunately the experience is fleeting and what we find is that we are stressed, forgetful, anxious and exhausted. Sound familiar? Being ungrounded or unearthed is a worldwide epidemic that is growing and so few of us are aware of what a little time outside in silence and nature with your bare feet can do.

Who would have thought? Sounds simple right? That’s because it is!

No catches, no guidance needed, no rituals, mantras, music or affirmations… Just you and the setting of your choice. It’s like attending a class where you choose the location and nothing else is required but the teacher, and that teacher is you.

Love the beach? Head there.

Prefer shade and perhaps greenery, go for a stroll at a park under the trees.

Guide yourself on your own grounding journey. This is what makes this such a beautiful process. There isn’t much these days where all we need is ourselves.

Grounding practices have been studied and proven to not only help us spiritually but emotionally, physically and mentally as well. Research started surfacing over the past 15 years and from clearing your mind to improving your immune system, studies are showing quite clearly how such a simple act can help us so very much.

Being ungrounded is the root cause (pun intended) of so much of our troubles. Sadly our modern
lifestyle continues to increasingly separate human beings from the fundamental flow of the earth’s energy field. From shoes to beds to television and retail therapy, our want and need to be outdoors has plummeted dramatically.

Is it a coincidence that chronic illness, immune disorders, and inflammatory disorders are on the rise?

Some researchers don’t think so and have pointed at environmental factors, or the lack of our connection to them, as a contributing cause.

The moral of this blog is that Grounding (also known as Earthing) is very real. Mother Nature is here to help us. From grass to sand, the earth is calling you.
