This is my Story
Simply I AM. From the beginning of time.
With every new day, there are challenges and tasks each of us have to complete in order to become better human beings. There is always a reason—a lesson to be learned. If you are ready, and open enough to listen and ask for help from Spirit, then you can move through these processes with ease and grace. New doorways open and new paths and opportunities present themselves.
Something may happen to make you feel unsure of who you are and what you are doing here. Life is a cycle of expansion and contraction, the only constant in your life is you. This is why it’s so important to learn how to reconnect with the truth: to come home to yourself and celebrate all that you are.
When I was a little girl, I lived with my grandparents in a small village in Slovenia. Each day, I followed my babica (grandmother) into the forest to pick plants and wild herbs for the medicines and potions she made for our village. She taught me to honour everything in nature, even at meal times. Nothing was ever wasted. The cycles of birth, death and rebirth were as certain as the seasons.
Without a television or radio for entertainment, we told stories and listened to the rhythms of nature. My days were spent playing in the forest, among the towering silver birch, watching the grazing wild deer and swimming in the crystalline water of the nearby river. We started and ended each day with prayer and gratitude. Everything we needed was provided by nature.

We were not rich in the village, but there was never any sense of lack. Life was abundant.
When I returned to live with my parents in town to go to school, money and lack became very apparent. Unlike in the forest where everything was provided for us, in town everything cost money. My parents worked long hours just to survive and I learned that I needed to be good, study and work hard to fit in. Life became rigid, structured, organised and full.
I held onto the words my grandfather told me before I left: “It doesn’t matter what kind of day you have Ivana, just remember that when you sleep the blankets cover everything. In the morning there is a whole new day just beginning.”
Like most young people, I was full of dreams. I graduated teachers college and worked as a model and dancer, touring Germany and other parts of Europe. My husband and I then moved to Australia in 1981, where we started with nothing and became quite successful.
Eventually, as our children grew up into successful young men, I began to experience a deep yearning for the connection I felt at home in the forest. Even after I achieved everything I could have achieved, I was left urging for more. Life felt empty and superficial.
A cycle of death and rebirth initiated a process of deep self-inquiry and remembering of the old ways: my marriage fell apart; we lost the business; my father died from suicide; and my mother died from cancer. It was time to ask myself the hard questions: was it the bank that defined me or my soul? The choice was mine.
Drawing on the traditional knowledge from my grandparents, the wisdom of my personal journey and the many complementary teachings I’ve learned since, my work today is about helping you to not only know, but also feel that you ARE enough.
You are COMPLETE.
You are POWERFUL.

Ivana Iyanifa
Ivana Iyanifa is diviner, oracle, spiritual consultant, accredited crystal healer and teacher, shamanic practitioner, ritual-creator and Ifa Priestess, officially initiated into Iyanifa in 2011 at Uluru by Olowo Robert Lavtar. She is also a Wise Woman – a member of the path of Nana Buuken, meaning Mother of All. This sacred society is by invitation only and reserved for those women who go through deep initiations into this sacred order of Ifa.
Ivana has participated in and facilitated many powerful initiations and sacred ceremonies and her spiritual teachings are drawn from her personal understanding of the Ifa concepts, adopted from various sources from the traditional texts of the Yoruba people, her own research, and the teachings and traditions passed down from her grandparents in Slovenia. Her workshops and classes have been described as engaging, evocative and life-changing.

When I received the Life Path Reading, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was curious to see how the shells and orishas worked together to divine information. As a seer and psychic myself, I knew my path and so this reading was in many ways to be a confirmation of what I already knew. BUT, it went SO far beyond my expectations.
